My name is Kenneth Johnson, and football has been a driving force in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Randallstown, Maryland—a suburb just outside of Baltimore—I was surrounded by a culture that deeply respected the game. Watching the Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowls in 2000 and 2012 had a major impact on me during my formative years. It inspired me to pursue collegiate football and instilled in me a deep respect for teamwork, discipline, and leadership.
For over 12 years, I’ve dedicated myself to coaching and training athletes—helping them unlock their potential not just on the field, but in life. Whether it’s been through athletic performance, team development, or personal growth, I’ve always believed that success starts up front—with mindset, preparation, and a relentless work ethic.
My passion for people is deeply rooted in my upbringing. I was raised by two incredible parents who believed in hard work, faith, and education. After losing my father at age eleven, I took on the responsibility of being the man of the house—supporting my mother and sisters as best as I could. That experience shaped my character early on and taught me the value of showing up for others—physically, mentally, and emotionally. My parents emphasized balance: they pushed us to excel in sports, stay sharp in academics, and never stop growing.
One quote that has guided me throughout my journey comes from Marianne Williamson:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…”
Those words remind me every day to lead with purpose and give others the courage to do the same.
With 1st and 10 Fitness, I’ve created a training experience that’s more than just workouts—it’s about developing athletes of all levels, building discipline, and helping individuals set new goals and attack them like a new set of downs.
